Where are we now?

So where are we now?  We are about to set a date for our next round of IVF.  As you can probably guess there was a bit of a story before we hit the IVF train but I’ll bore you all with that on a different post!

In brief our IVF journey so far is this…

Round 1 – This was at CRGH on the NHS in May 2011.  We had Natural IVF with ICSI aka the no drug approach.  I laid 1 egg (all that I could really with no help),  it fertilised, we had a 2 day transfer, all looked good – we didn’t get pregnant.

Round 2 – This was at IVF Hammersmith, not on the NHS!  We had lots of drugs (well I did) on what they call Antagonist protocol.  I laid 5 eggs, 3 fertilised with the help of ICSI, we had PGS, 2 of the 3 had all the right chromosomes, we had a 3 day transfer,  all looked good – we didn’t get pregnant.

Round 3 – This will also be at IVF Hammersmith but with a slight variation on last time, as yet details are tbc… such suspense eh!
